5 Habits of Successful People We Kinda Like..

1. HOW DO YOU GET TO PARIS IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE FRANCE IS? – The Roadmap

You wouldn’t run out to the airport go to just any terminal and get on any plane that’s leaving next if you want to go to Paris, would you?  It is highly unlikely that you’d end up there, right?  It’s more  likely that you would get off in Milwaukee or New Jersey, maybe Paris, Texas – that’s not going to fullfill your quaint French Cafe and creme brulee dreams much, is it?  Tres disappointing.

It only make sense to know where you want to go, exactly. Specifically.

However, you’d be surprised to know how many people we’ve coached ~ who have absolutely NO idea of what they really want.  Zero.

Drill down to that Seed Vision that you have inside.  We all have one.  It’s been there all along, but most of us lost it along the way to ‘becoming an adult’.   It lives in what brings you joy.

2. ALIGNMENT – Find Your Center

Over the last 10 years in the Personal Development Industry all sorts of folks preach “action, action, action!” We’ve become an overly action-oriented society with one major drawback. Action for ‘action’s sake’ – is most likely going to end up with a disappointing outcome … UNLESS, it is grounded. Unless you have stilled your mind and looked for intuition. Successful people know more about ‘listening to your gut’ than most. It’s one of the best tools we’ve got. Inspired Action is the way to go. Ground, center yourself, listen to that inner guidance, look for signals – then go from there.

3. THE ‘F’ WORD: Failure Breeds Success

Our favorite quote on this is from leader on wealth and success, Christopher Howard. “The secret to success is to fall down four times … and get up five.” We love that. Great breakthroughs in science that have changed our world as we know it – ALL came from trial and error. Embrace failure as a part of success. Without the failures, success would have never happened.

4. PICASSO NEVER WATCHED THE CLOCK – Are You Having Fun?

People who are on the most successful path, I find, are actually having a great time while they are doing it. There are exceptions, but by in large – think about it. If you are deeply involved in doing something you love, from playing your favorite sport to solving a puzzle to crafting a bonsai bush – time dissolves, doesn’t it? It could have been hours you were involved in it, but it didn’t matter, did it? You were engaged. You felt alive. You were – having fun.

5. GETTING COACHING – Accountability

This is one of the simplest and easiest tools of all that no world leader, no CEO, no great entrepreneur – lives without these days. A great Coach can be that place to be a sounding board, an instigator when blindspots have become hurdles. From Lincoln to Einstein to Tiger Woods. A place of accountability and forthright guidance is invaluable for success. Follow in the footsteps of leaders.
